CAMPBELLSVILLE UNIVERSITY HIRES NEW SOCIAL SCIENCE INSTRUCTOR

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville University has hired Larry D. Creason of Campbellsville as an instructor in social science, according to Dr. Michael V. Carter, president.

Creason also serves as a part-time pretrial officer for Green, Marion, Taylor and Washington counties where he is responsible for pretrial interviews of citizens eligible for bond, automated data entry, criminal history search and provision to court judges and monitoring citizens awaiting court trial.

Creason was employed with the Department for Social Services for 20 years where he provided directly and indirectly to Kentucky families in the south central area. His main focus was assessing the need of protective services for children and adults.

He has also served as an adjunct professor for Campbellsville University from 1995 to 1999 where he taught criminal justice classes.

Creason graduated from Green County High School in 1966 and received a bachelor of science degree in social science from Campbellsville College in 1975. He also received a master of science degree in criminal justice from Eastern Kentucky University.

He is a deacon and member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.

He is married Rita A. Slinker Creason, director of student records at CU, and they have three children, Michelle L. Bennett, Jennifer L. Collie and Trent E. Creason. He is the son of Arthur and Doris Jean Creason of Greensburg, Ky.
