CAMPBELLSVILLE UNIVERSITY TO HOST DR. JOEL CARWILE AT CHAPEL SEPT. 10

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. -- Joel Carwile, pastor of Valley View Baptist Church in Louisville, Ky., will speak during Campbellsville University’s chapel series on Wednesday, Sept. 10 in the Ransdell Chapel.

           

Carwile, at the rank of colonel, is chaplain in the Alabama State Defense Force where he has served since 2003. He officiated as professor in the bachelor and master’s program at Whitesburg Heritage Bible College in Huntsville, Ala. He also attended the University of North Alabama and Liberty University.

             

He is pursuing the master of theology degree at Campbellsville University’s Louisville Campus and is scheduled to graduate in May 2009.

Carwile is a 1982 graduate of West Limestone High School. He graduated from Calhoun Community College in 1998 with a bachelor of science in religion. He received a master of ministry and doctor of ministry degree from Covington Theological Seminary.

Carwile received the honorary doctor of divinity in church growth in 2005 at Coral Ridge Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Tenn.                                                                                          

Carwile is the son of Bobby and Gayle Carwile who reside in Athens, Ala. He is married to Jo Mahan Carwile, and they have one son, Zeke Carwile, who is two years old.
