“Campbellsville University is a private institution with a public purpose,” Carter said. “While we are distinctly Christian, we really resemble a regional public university with all the varied programs and degree options we offer.”
CU currently offers 43 programs of study at the undergraduate level, 15 master’s programs and four post-graduate areas. Additional programs are being planned.
He said that CU considers Lebanon-Marion County as close friends and good neighbors, “with connections like our student Paul Hilpp and his family who are with us today.” Carter noted other close contacts between CU and Lebanon-Marion County.
Carter said, “While we’re not the least expensive school, nor the most expensive, nationally CU is extremely reasonable. A dollar goes farther at Campbellsville University.” He pointed out that CU students from Marion County received over a million dollars in financial aid during the 2008-2009 year.
